TOPICAL VITAMIN K CREAM 5%
While many effective treatments have been developed to treat the conditions associated with photo-aged skin, none could halt the development of dead-end vessels, broken vessels and the disappearance of veil cells, which protect the
vascular loops in the dermis. These effects cause the skin to become more fragile, susceptible to tearing and likely to bruise easily. Also, many individuals are required to take medications such as aspirin and blood thinners for various medical conditions which only make the blood vessels more likely to rupture from trauma to the skin. Without effective treatment available for bruising or for reducing the appearance of broken blood vessels, topical vitamin K was researched and developed.
Topical vitamin K has been shown to help reduce the appearance of broken capillaries, bruising and spider veins, in addition to helping a host of other skin conditions.
Vitamin K is beneficial in reducing the redness of rosacea, the bruises of actinic purpura, and the bruises associated with Schamberg's disease, (a disorder in which tiny blood vessels burst from ankle to the knee). Vitamin K also reduces the appearance of bruising if used prior to and after cosmetic surgeries. In addition, vitamin K has been used topically to alleviate the discomfort following chemical peels.
